The weather is turning! If you’re anything like me, you’re already missing the 80 degree temperatures of last week. Now that we’re heading back into the 60 – 70s, let’s go over the basics of layering up!
Wearing layers when you ride will keep you riding comfortably through fall and even into winter. Its important to utilize several thin layers, rather than one plush sweater, to trap layers of air in between your clothes and keep you insulated. It’s also important to be able to layer down as you go… you will warm up as you ride! Make sure you’re able to take a layer or two off, to keep you from sweating.
For temperatures around 60 degrees, like this week, add a single base layer under you clothes. Wear thicker socks, and full fingered gloves.
